Oval cut gemstone

The oval cut shape was discovered by Lazare Kaplan in the past 1950s- early 1960s. It presents with a cryptic shape, when watched from the top, and can be termed as the mixture of round and marquise shapes. This shape of gemstone offers the wearer the skill and intensity of round cut gemstone in a more different shape as it is a type of revised brilliant cut. This shape of the stone is crafted in 69 facets. Its elongated figure is an added plus because it creates the magic of a larger gemstone and allows a finger to appear longer and slighter when wearing it.
